Water ph
The PH of water is determined by using a PH probe. The healthy PH range for water it 6-9, or in the case of Home bush 6-8. The level of PH in water is important because it can effect the organisms in the water, for example a PH of over 10 could cause fish to hatch deformed.
Materials:
-Water sample
-PH probe
Method:
1. Collect a water sample
2. Place the Ph probe into the water sample.
3. Leave the probe in the water for 1-2 minutes so it can obtain an accurate reading
4. Read and record the result indicated from the PH probe
The Ph of the water at Home bush was measured at 7 which indicates a neutral water level. This was between the average range of a PH of 6-8.
